Ranchi, Nov 25 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday offered his

condolences following the demise of senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed

Patel.

The Chief Minister prayed to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give strength to

the family members to overcome the burden of the loss.

On the other hand JPCC chief and Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon alongwith his

cabinet colleagues and other senior leaders have also paid their tributes to the senior leader

who passed away early in the day.

A function was also organised at the residence of Dr Oraon located in Bariyatu here where

party leaders garlanded the portrait of the late leader and offered him their tributes.

Dr Oraon described the death of the leader as an irreparable loss for the country and

especially the Congress party in these challenging times.

He said for five decades Ahmed Patel worked for the strengthening of the party organisation

and his role can never be forgotten and he had also played a very important role in the success

of the UPA government.

Agriculture Minister Badal said that Ahmed Patel was the biggest crisis manager in the

Congress party and had a solution to every problem.

He said that the void created by his departure will not be filled soon.
