Noida reports 223 new Covid-19 cases, tally crosses 22,000 mark

NOIDA: Gautam Buddh Nagar on Wednesday reported 223 new cases of coronavirus while 140 patients also recovered in the past 24 hours taking the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 22,022. Also, the total number of deceased were 80 or 0.36% people dead due to the pandemic.
According to the state report, there are 1,357 patients or 6% (06.16%) active cases in GB Nagar while a total of 20,585 or 93% (93.47%) patients have recovered from the disease in the district so far.
The GB Nagar administration also released a new list of 246 containment zones on Wednesday where 236 containment zones are in category 1 and 10 containment zones are in category 2.
The district health department also conducted 2587 rapid antigen tests on Wednesday in which 36 tested positive. Among these 147 were random rapid antigen tests at two places, one at DND and the other at Hari Darshan border where total 7 tested positive from both places combined.
Further, the health department conducted a total of 1504 RT-PCR tests on Wednesday in which 1157 tests were conducted at government labs and 347 tests were conducted at private labs.
