Polish energy company Tauron spent PLN 76.86 million on broadband network deployment projects carried out under the state programme Digital Poland (POPC) in the third quarter of this year, reports Telko.in. The company had completed 24 percent of the planned works as of the end of September.
The energy company carries out the projects in seven locations. Tauron received PLN 187 million in co-funding under the POPC to deploy a total of 5,500 km of fibre-optic lines and 259 access nodes connecting 102,000 households and 438 schools.
