Section 54 of the Income Tax Act


An NRI assessee have 3 residential property in India. During the F.Y. 2020-21 he wants to sell one residential property and claim exemption u/s. 54 by way of Investing in new residential property. Can he claim Exemption?

Whether having two other residential property restricts eligibility of NRI Assessee to avail exemption u/s. 54 of the Act?
