Dundee City Council migrates ICT to Brightsolid data centre

Wednesday 25 November 2020 | 13:53 CET | News

UK managed services company Brightsolid announced that Dundee City Council has migrated its ICT systems to the the company's Dundee data centre.

The Dundee data centre is now hosting 95 percent of the council's ICT. This has offset an expected GBP 1 million investment that would have been needed for the council to keep using its on-premises data centres. The migration has boosted network resilience, and improved management and monitoring of services for the council. The remaining 5 percent of the council's ICT is staying onsite to support connections with the Brightsolid data centre.
