Goalless at the break
The scores are level at the break but FC Goa are down to 10 men after Redeem Tlang was shown a straight red for a hight boot on Mumbai City FC's Hernan Santana. Prior to that, FC Goa were the better team of the two, having created the better chances. As expected, both teams are playing passing football with occasional long balls. However, both teams are missing that killer pass in the final third.
8' Angulo Should have scored
8' Mumbai City FC are focusing down their left plank to attack. So far, it has been an end to end match where we saw some good one-touch passing and good trackbacks. FC Goa has had the better chance in the match so far, however, their star forward Igor Angulo takes a heavy touch which sees the ball go away from him and allows MCFC defender to close the gap. Igor still shoots but his effort is blocked off by Sarthak Golui and the ball goes out for a corner. the corner was successfully defended by MCFC
Kick-off at the Fatorda Stadium
Match number 6 of the Indian Super League season 7 is underway. FC Goa take on Mumbai City FC at the Fatorda Stadium. The Gaurs has had a good record against the Islanders in the ISL but at that time the team from Goa was under the tutelage of Sergio Lobera. This time around, Lobera has taken over the reins of the Mumbai City FC, it'll be interesting to see who has the upper hand now. One thing is for sure. There will be a lot of passes! Let's Football!
Mumbai City FC lost their opening fixture of the season 1-0 to NorthEast United FC. They had a slow approach in the game, however, despite losing their maiden ISL fixture, the reduced 10-man Mumbai City FC had more than 60 percent possession and kept passing the ball around without showing any intent of attack.
