As businesses reopen, the job market is showing recovery and the competition for open vacancies is easing, and the opportunities gap between those with and without digital skills is narrowing. LinkedIn’s latest labour hiring rate market for September was up 18 percentage points over August. Hiring rate — defined as number of hires divided by LinkedIn membership — in India reached 30% in September. The rate reached a low of (-)50% year-on-year in April, before starting to slowly recover and reaching 12% in August and 30% at the end of September, LinkedIn said.
