7-day FDP begins

Chandigarh, November 24

A seven-day online faculty development programme on the theme, “Self-Reliant India: Policies and Challenges,” is being organised by the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh, under the aegis of RUSA 2.00 from November 24 to 30.

Dr Simran Kaur and Dr Smita Sharma are the course coordinators. Prof BK Kuthiala, Chairman, State Higher Education Council, Haryana, was the chief guest who addressed the participants at the inaugural session. He said the theme was very relevant as it was important to understand the meaning and scope of self-reliance for a dynamic country like India.

Prof SK Tomar, honorary director of Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University, gave an introductory talk on the HRDC and its field of work. — TNS
