Spanish operator Masmovil said it has reached an agreement with retail giant El Corte Ingles to work together on new commercial offers and campaigns for their 25 million-plus customers in Spain. The partnership will launch with a special initiative for customers of Masmovil’s Yoigo brand, who will be given a free 1-year subscription to the retail chain’s flat-rate shipping service ‘El Corte Ingles Plus’, normally costing EUR 19.90 a year.
‘El Corte Ingles Plus’ gives users free delivery of more than 300,000 items purchased on the retailer’s portal throughout Spain, as well as free same-day delivery of food products when spending over EUR 40 plus the El Corte Ingles money-back guarantee.
The partners said they intend to develop new innovative commercial initiatives for their respective clients over the next few months. Earlier this year, Masmovil signed a deal to become Amazon’s technology partner and have preferential access to the US giant’s new products and services, the first Spanish operator to do so.
