Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi said that Egypt wishes for further constructive cooperation with Orange and other French companies, EgyptToday reported. El-Sisi made the statement during a meeting with Orange chairman Stephane Richard. Richard affirmed the company’s keenness to expand its activities in Egypt.
Orange has been operating in Egypt since 1999, making it the oldest mobile network operator in the country. It was formerly known as Mobinil. The meeting explored cooperation with the French company in the ICT sector, and tackled boosting Orange investments in the fields of telecommunication services and applications for smart cities in addition to smart services for financial inclusion.
