Speaking to youth wing members in Thanjavur on Monday as part of his ongoing campaign, he said, “The police have been treating me as a terrorist and keep me under arrest till late in the night. It is evident that the Chief Minister is not able to tolerate the crowd I attract during the campaign. He also urged the youth wing members to use social media to take the party’s message to the public.

Ridiculing the AIADMK-BJP alliance announcement, Udhayanidhi Stalin said, they have helped DMK as the people are up against that alliance. “People have chased the AIADMK alliance in the Lok Sabha polls and they still have anger against the BJP and AIADMK and this would have an impact in the upcoming Assembly polls too,” he added.

In the same vein, Rajya Sabha MP and LPF General Secretary M Shanmugan told reporters in Ariyalur that announcement of alliance between AIADMK and BJP has made the winning prospects for DMK alliance brighter and the arrest of the DMK youth wing secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin has turned to be a free publicity to the party. He predicted that the DMK alliance would win in the upcoming assembly polls with a vast margin.
