Coronavirus News LIVE Updates: Today is the 246th day since India implemented a nationwide lockdown to help curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. So far, India has recorded 91,77,841 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,34,218 deaths. A total of 86,04,955 people have recuperated from COVID-19 so far. There are 4,38,667 active cases in the country as of date, which comprises 4.78 percent of the total caseload, the data stated. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have reported the highest number of cases. However, infections are rising rapidly in states like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. India's recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 93.76 percent. Globally, more than 5.87 crore people have been infected by the coronavirus and 13.95 lakh have died so far. Brent crude futures rose 34 cents, or 0.7%, to $46.40 a barrel by 0323 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude added 38 cents, or 0.9%, to $43.43 a barrel.
Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine update | Can produce 100 million doses of Covishield per month: SII CEO Adar Poonawalla
Serum Institute of India can supply around 100 million doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine per month, CEO Adar Poonawalla has said. By July 2021, India could have around up to 400 million doses of Covishield, he added.
SII CEO said that India could approve emergency use of the COVID-19 vaccine by December 2020. Once cleared, the vaccine will be used to protect priority beneficiaries identified by the Centre, including frontline healthcare workers and elderly, he said.

Coronavirus in Telangana LIVE Updates | Telangana COVID-19 tally goes past 2.65 lakh with 921 new additions
Telangana's coronavirus tally crossed 2.65 lakh as 921 more cases were added, while three related fatalities pushed the toll to 1,437. As many as 11,047 patients are under treatment and 42,740 samples were tested on Monday.
Cumulatively, over 52 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was over 1.39 lakh, the bulletin said. The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 percent, while it was 1.5 percent at the national level. The recovery rate in Telangana was 95.28 percent, while it was 93.7 percent in the country.
