Very rough sea condition predicted over BoB, south coasts; fishermen advised to stay away

Pune, Nov 24 (UNI) During the next 24 hours, rough to very rough sea condition was very likely along and off Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, south Andhra Pradesh coasts and Gulf of Mannar.
Squally winds with speed 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph were very likely in the above-mentioned areas.
Similarly, high sea condition and gale winds with speed 70-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph were very likely over the southwest Bay of Bengal (BoB).
Fishermen were advised not to venture into these sea areas.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall was very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema.
Thunderstorm with lightning was likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Cold day conditions were very likely at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh, while cold wave conditions were very likely at isolated places over Bihar.
Night temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1 degree Celsius to 5 degrees) at most places over mid-Maharashtra, and at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Night temperatures were above normal (1.6 degrees to 3 degrees) at most places over Punjab and Rayalaseema, and at few places over Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and west Madhya Pradesh.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal (-3.1 degrees to -5 degrees) at many places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Saurashtra and Kutch, and at few places over east Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Assam and Meghalaya.
Night temperatures were below normal (-1.6 degrees to -3 degrees) at many places over Odisha, and at few places over Sub-Himalayan west Bengal, Sikkim and Gujarat region.
The lowest minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees was recorded at Churk in east Uttar Pradesh over the plains of the country.
From 0830 hrs on Monday to 0830 hrs on Tuesday, thunderstorm with lightning were observed in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and at few places in Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
