    Stock market update: Nifty Bank index surges 500 points! RBL Bank jumps 5%

    NEW DELHI: Nifty Bank index was trading with gains at 11:47AM (IST) on Tuesday.

    Shares of RBL Bank (up 5.57 per cent), Axis Bank (up 2.81 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 2.6 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.64 per cent) and ICICI Bank (up 1.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    While IDFC Bank (down 2.71 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 1.49 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 0.85 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.77 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (down 0.5 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

    The Nifty Bank index was trading 1.84 per cent up at 29559.15 around 11:47AM.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.80 points at 13012.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 295.8 points at 44372.95.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BHEL, GMR Infra and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Adani Ports SEZ, Tanla Solutions, Dalmia Bharat Ltd., Capri Global and Eicher Motors hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Jump Networks Ltd., Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd. and AVSL Industries Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
