Brazil has launched an international public call for proposals for the TV 3.0 Project. The aim of the initiative is to upgrade the existing digital terrestrial TV system in the country. The SBTVD Forum, as the responsible entity, is seeking proposals for any of the system components or sub-components. The new system should start operating in the next few years, while the complete transition from the current standard to TV 3.0 will take at least 15 years. The deadline for submission of proposals is 30 November.
