Hyderabad: Senior actor and social worker Kadambari Kiran on Tuesday urged people of Hyderabad to extend full support to the TRS party in the upcoming GHMC elections. He said the TRS government had also been working for the welfare of Telugu film industry and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had kept his word by showering sops to the industry that was severely hit by the pandemic.
“The Chief Minister’s announcement has brought cheers in the lives of 40,000 families in the cinema industry,” he said while addressing the media on Tuesday. He urged the government to also provide shelter to cine workers in the allocated 1,500 acres.
Kadambari recalled that K Chandrashekhar Rao, on assuming charge as Chief Minister, had promised to protect the Telugu film industry.
“His words had instilled so much confidence and hope among us. Poor, the downtrodden and affected families of natural calamities, name it, he has been helping every section of people. IT Minister KT Rama Rao and TRS MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar have also been extending support to the industry time and again,” Kadambari said.
