Bishnupur, November 23 2020: Farmers of Khoijuman and Kwasiphai have drawn the attention of the Chief Minister to the point that the said two villages remain unconnected to other parts of the State as the bridge over Thongjaorok river remain incomplete since 2019 .

A bypass would immensely help the people.

The bridge construction work is taken up under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana scheme.

The farmers had already raised the issue verbally to the pradhan/up-pradhan, but they said that the cost of providing a bypass was not included in the project.

There used to be a small bypass but the incessant rain had washed it away.

They suggested utilising the materials from the old bridge to construct a diversion at Ukang Sanlam by first week of December, as there is no sign of completion of the permanent bridge anytime.
