GURUGRAM: The district administration on Monday
launched a portal—covidggn.com —to make Covid-related information available online. A
mobile application called Gurugram
COVID Combat Companion was launched for android users to get all information.
“The portal currently provides information regarding testing centres, helpline numbers, ambulance helpline number, availability of hospital beds, location of hospitals, general statistical reports, testing charges, etc. Gradually other useful information related to Covid management will be added to enhance the utility of this portal and application,” said Gurugram divisional commissioner Rajeev Ranjan during the launch of the portal.
The portal also has provision of administrative login, wherein, all departments like municipal corporation, health, home, Ayush, hospital can work in parallel without loss of time for transmission of data. Even data from ICMR is imported for quick processing by the various departments.
The portal contains detailed information about every positive patient in the district. Chief medical officer Dr Virender Yadav also said that data of patients are updated on this portal on an hourly basis.
On the occasion, Ranjan appealed to the residents of Gurugram that in view of the recent surge in Covid cases, it is further stressed that people should wear masks properly. He said that proper maintenance of hand hygiene and social distancing are other tools.
