Stock market update: Nifty Auto index gains 2%; Bosch climbs 5%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Auto index was trading higher at 12:08PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Bosch (up 5.27 per cent), Eicher Motors (up 3.64 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 2.91 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 2.59 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 2.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While TVS Motor Company (down 1.28 per cent), MRF (down 1.02 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (down 0.79 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.65 per cent) and Ashok Leyland (down 0.38 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.72 per cent up at 8888.85 around 12:08PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 86.80 points at 13013.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 291.75 points at 44368.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BHEL, GMR Infra and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Adani Ports SEZ, Tanla Solutions, Dalmia Bharat Ltd., Tata Chemicals and Capri Global hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Jump Networks Ltd., Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd. and AVSL Industries Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
