Coronavirus Cases India: India's overall coronavirus case count stands at 91.77 lakh
New Delhi: With 37,975 fresh COVID-19 infections, India recorded 13 per cent fewer coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, government data shows. The country also reported 480 Covid-related deaths in this period, marginally lower than yesterday's 511. India's overall coronavirus case count now stands at 91.77 lakh, with 1,34,218 Covid-related fatalities, so far.
Active cases rose to almost 4.4 lakh as more than 40,000 people successfully fought off the virus taking overall recoveries to 86,04,955. The country's overall recovery rate is 93.75 per cent, with a daily positivity rate of about 3.5 per cent against 10.9 lakh tests in the last 24 hours.
Delhi on Monday recorded 4,454 fresh COVID-19 cases and 121 people died in the national capital in the last 24 hours. These relatively low number of fresh cases came out of the 37,307 tests conducted on Sunday, including 18,046 RT-PCR tests, according to the latest bulletin issued by the Delhi health department.
Amid a surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the city, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has ordered for an immediate procurement of 1,200 BiPAP machines for the new ICU beds being added in the national capital this week, an official said on Tuesday. He said the move will allow immediate operationalisation of the new ICU beds. A total of 1,200 BiPAP machines will be procured immediately from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the official said.

Coronavirus Updates: Venezuela's COVID-19 case tally tops 1,00,000
The number of registered cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Venezuela has exceeded 1,00,000, the country's Health Ministry said in a statement.
According to the latest data, 308 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Venezuela in the past day, the total case tally now stands at 100,143, of which 4,285 cases are active.
Two people have died in the past 24 hours, and the overall deaths is 873. Nearly 95,000 people have recovered from the disease in the country since the start of the outbreak.

Mizoram's COVID-19 tally rose to 3,710 on Tuesday as 50 more people, including nine Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, tested positive for the infection, a health official said. Lawngtlai district reported the highest number of new cases at 22, followed by Aizawl and Serchhip (nine each) and Champhai (eight), he said.
Nine infections were detected during RT-PCR tests, 11 during TrueNat and 30 during rapid antigen tests, the official said. Nine BSF soldiers, six children and three elderly persons are among the new patients, he said.

Telangana's coronavirus tally crossed 2.65 lakh as 921 more cases were added, while three related fatalities pushed the toll to 1,437.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 146, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 81 and Bhadradri Kothagudem 71, a government bulletin said on Tuesday providing details as of 8 pm on November 23.
As many as 11,047 patients are under treatment and 42,740 samples were tested on Monday.

International travelers will need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to fly with Australia's Qantas, the company has said, the first major airline to suggest that such rules could become common across the industry.
Qantas CEO Alan Joyce said late Monday the Australian flag carrier would implement the measure once a coronavirus vaccine was made available to the public.
"We are looking at changing our terms and conditions to say for international travellers that we will ask people to have a vaccination before they can get on the aircraft," he told Channel Nine.
"Whether you need that domestically, we will have to see what happens with Covid-19 in the market but certainly, for international visitors coming out (to Australia) and people leaving the country, we think that is a necessity."

The COVID-19 tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands rose to 4,656 on Tuesday as 15 more people tested positive for the infection, a health official said. Three new patients have travel history, while 12 infections were detected during contact tracing, he said. Thirteen more people have been cured of the disease, the official said.
Jharkhand reports 219 new COVID-19 cases, 2 fresh fatalities
Jharkhand's COVID-19 tally rose to 1,07,688 on Tuesday as 219 more people tested positive for the infection, a health official said. Two more patients died due to the infection, pushing the state's coronavirus deaths to 953, he said. Dhanbad and Ranchi districts reported one fresh fatality each, the official said.
Coronavirus Cases Updates: Chile reports 1,440 new COVID-19 cases
Chile's Ministry of Health on Monday reported 1,440 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and 37 deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload to 542,080 and the deaths to 15,106.
Of the total caseload, 517,524 people have recovered, while 704 people are currently hospitalised in intensive care units, including 544 on ventilators and 76 in critical condition.

Moscow's COVID-19 deaths rise to 8,455
Moscow has registered 76 deaths of patients infected with COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the Russian capital's deaths to 8,455, the city's coronavirus response center said in a statement on Monday.
"Another 76 patients, who were diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for the coronavirus infection, died in Moscow," the center said.
