UK fibre operator Hyperoptic announced an agreement with Metropolitan Thames Valley to roll out its broadband service across a large proportion of its housing portfolio. The authority provides housing at different levels of affordability for people living in London, the South East, East Midlands and the East of England.
Hyperoptic first installed its services at the Metropolitan Thames Valley’s Clapham Park regeneration project in 2019. It also installed a free service in the local community centre, The Cube. Due to the success of these installations and positive resident feedback, Hyperoptic will connect more developments across Metropolitan Thames Valley’s portfolio, starting with the Ashmole Estate in Oval and the Chalkhill Estate in the borough of Brent. Further details of the roll-out were not disclosed.
