CHANDIGARH: Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann has urged the party rank and file to join the farmers’ protest in New Delhi on November 26 and 27 against the ‘black agricultural laws’ of the union government. Mann described farmers as the backbone of Punjab and said the state could not progress without their efforts. He said AAP would rise above party affiliations and stand by the farmers in their hour of need.
There is no time time to watch from the sidelines as farmers, including women, are braving the winter and staging protests to save their lands, he said, adding that the farming community has been left to fend for itself by both the union and state government.
