AMBALA: The district on Monday reported 55 new cases of
coronavirus infection and two deaths, deputy civil surgeon Dr Sanjeev Singla said.
With this, the coronavirus tally in the district rose to 9,997 including 417 active cases, he said.
Singla said that Ambala Cantt reported 29 cases, followed by Ambala City (12), Chourmastpur (8), Shahzadpur and Naraingarh (2 each), and Barara and
Mullana (1 each).
As many as 52 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 9,458 with a recovery rate of 94.61%, he said.
He added that a total of 121 deaths have been reported in the district so far with the mortality rate of 1.21% and the case doubling rate is 100 days.
