LUCKNOW: A central government employee was booked by the CBI on Monday for allegedly posing as deputy inspector general of the central probe agency. The agency also raided the residence of the accused identified as Rajiv Singh.
A senior CBI official said that Rajiv impersonated as DIG of Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI in Delhi.
CBI said that two residences of the accused- one in Jwal Khera, Bulandshahr and another in Tehshil Kol, Aligarh - were raided by the sleuths. The cops also recovered two country-made firearms and some documents from the two residences. The raids were still going on in connection with the same.
Rajiv worked in a central government department in Delhi and resided in Aligarh.
