ISL 2020-21 Live Score, Odisha vs Hyderabad Highlights: Hyderabad FC went home with all the three points after beating Odisha FC 1-0 in the fourth match of the Indian Super League 2020/21 season at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on Monday.
Right from the start, Hyderabad were dominant with the ball and were consistent with their efforts. Odisha managed to hold off the one-way traffic till the 35th minute when Steven Taylor conceded a penalty. Aridane Santana scored from the spot to hand Hyderabad the lead. Despite ending as a 1-0, the game was no way close with Odisha falling way behind.
After the added five minutes, the final whistle blows. Apart from couple of late moments, Odisha looked rather clueless with what to do with the ball. Hyderabad were dominant through, where Colaco and Narzary could have even scored. Santana's penalty does the trick in the end, and with this disciplined display, Hyderabad have their first-ever cleansheet in their ISL history.
Subham Sarangi booked for a late and rash challenge on Holicharan Narzary. The youngster could have been sent off for his poor challenge but the referee seems to be lenient today. Minutes earlier, Saurabh Meher went into the referee's book.
MISS! Liston Colaco shows his pace and skills on the ball as he races past a couple of Odisha FC defenders and goes for goal with Steven Taylor upon his position. His shot is inches wide of the goal.
Substitutions take place for both the sides at the hour mark. Odisha bring on Laishram Singh in place of Marcelinho. Hyderabad then make their change few minutes later, bringing on Liston Colaco in place of Mohammed Yasir.
Second-half kicks-off. Can Odisha turn this game around?
After Santana's shot was saved by Arshdeep late in the half, four minutes were added on. Hyderabad lead at half time.
Lluis Sastre has been excellent in the game so far. The Spaniard has been a midfield lynchpin for Hyderabad FC in the first half. He has been laying off the wingers down the two sides and setting up Santana on several occasions with quick through balls.
GOAL! Aridane Santana gives Hyderabad a deserved lead from the penalty spot as he bangs it to the middle of the net and Roca must be happy now! After a fast break, Steven Taylor handled the ball inside the box for which he was shown a yellow card.
Hyderabad is in complete control of the match and they are dominating in terms of possession in the Odisha FC half of play. Santana has another chance from a Rai cross and he again heads just wide off the left post of Arshdeep.
Hyderabad keep raking up earning corners from excellent wing play but the Odisha defence has been solid in its approach. Odisha FC sitting back and soaking in all the pressure. Nikhil Poojary cuts inside the box and has an attempt on goal but goes well wide.
Santana has been a handful for the defenders right from the offing. Hyderabad got a corner from a failed cross, and the resulting setpiece was met by Santana with his head. Just wide though. Minutes later, Akash has a long-ranged shot saved.
Hyderabad FC get us underway with the ball rolling. The visitors are in their home colours, yellow to not mix it up with Odisha FC who have donned their new home colours, black.
