Denting communal harmony for votes is a sin: KT Rama Rao

HYDERABAD: Without naming any political party, TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday said that people should choose between decisive policies and divisive politics in the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. KTR was speaking at a session ‘Brand Hyderabad Future Ready’ held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Sunday.
During the talk, moderator of the session Bharani Aroll, president of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association, quoted a TOI article and asked the minister to throw light on Hyderabad becoming Asia’s biggest hub for hi-tech business, to which the minster responded saying that it would happen one day. “I hope it comes true and happens sooner than later... It will happen when there is law and order and when there is there is tranquility,” Rao said.
KT Rama Rao also hit out at the opposition, alleging that they are ‘stooping to low levels for the sake of votes’ in the upcoming GHMC elections and added, “Projecting some people as villains is not good, denting communal harmony and inciting violence among communities is not good. Doing such things for an election is a cardinal sin.” Rao said that an inter-connected grid around ring road to increase drinking water is being built. “The Keshav Puram reservoir, which will ensure that there is no drinking water issue, will be built in a year,” he said.
