Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Jameel Shaikh (49) was shot dead in Thane on Monday.
A video by Mumbai Mirror shows a man shooting Shaikh on a bike.
According to the police, the incident took place in Rabodi area of Thane city.
Shaikh was the president of a civic ward in Thane.
