Recovery rate among Coronavirus patients in Jharkhand goes beyond 97 percent

Ranchi, Nov 23 (UNI) In a major success for the state in its battle against Coronavirus the
recovery rate among Covid-19 patients has jumped above 97 percent.
On the other hand the Coronavirus tally in the state on Monday reached to 1,07,688 as
219 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 22 districts of Jharkhand.
During the day 2 deaths were reported including 1 each from Ranchi and East Singhbhum
as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 953. The mortality rate among the
patients currently stands at 0.88 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the
state was 2,202 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,04,533. The total
number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 953.
On Monday a maximum number of 68 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 29 in Bokaro,
27 in East Singhbhum, 13 in Dhanbad and 11 in Lohardaga (top five districts).
During the day no cases were found in Khunti and Pakur districts.
A total of number of 304 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated
Covid-19 facilities during the day including 109 from Ranchi, 47 from East Singhbhum, 25
from Bokaro, 15 from Latehar and 13 each from Koderma and Dhanbad districts.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of
Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark
to currently stand at 97.07 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 39,40,964 samples have been collected out of which 39,24,648 have
been tested and 38,16,960 have turned out to be negative.
