CHANDIGARH: Four days ahead of planned agitations, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday urged state farmers as well as government employee unions to act responsibly and give up the path of protest.
Addressing the public through a web platform, Khattar asked protesters to not to get mislead by forces working to create instability in society and the state. “This corona year has made things tough for all, even for the government. We may fall short of revenue collection to the tune of Rs 10,000 to 12,000 crore. How can we meet the demands of employees? It is not the year of strike, agitations, or no work. You (employees) should look at those who find it tough to make two ends meet. Being government servant, especially at this point of time, you should all dedicate yourself to the society and the nation,” said Khattar.
Protesting against three agri laws, farmers from the region have given a call for all-India protest on Thursday.
