Mamata saddened at the passing away of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi

Kolkata, Nov 23 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday
expressed her profound grief at the passing away of veteran leader and former
Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi.
Taking to her twitter handle, Ms Banerjee said, " Saddened to hear about the
passing away of veteran leader and former Chief Minister of Assam for 3 terms,
Tarun Gogoi Ji. "
" My deepest condolences to his family, followers and well-wishers, " she added.
Former three-time Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi breathed his last in Guwahati
today after being hospitalised for a brief period following post-COVID complications.
He was 86.

Guwahati, Nov 23 (UNI) Assam’s longest serving chief minister and veteran Congressman
Tarun Gogoi, who had been suffering from post-COVID complications after contracting the
virus in August, died of multiple-organ failure in the ICU of Gauhati Medical College and
Hospital (GMCH) here today.
