The Last of Us TV Adaptation Gets Series Order from HBO

Earlier this year, HBO announced that it is working with Naughty Dog to create The Last of Us TV show. As reported by Deadline, the network has now given a series order for the adaptation.

The series is written by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and the game’s creator Neil Druckmann. Mazin and Druckmann will also executive produce alongside Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Azad Qizilbash, and Carter Swan.

Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming, said, “Craig and Neil are visionaries in a league of their own. With them at the helm alongside the incomparable Carolyn Strauss, this series is sure to resonate with both die-hard fans of The Last of Us games and newcomers to this genre-defining saga. We’re delighted to partner with Naughty Dog, Word Games, Sony and PlayStation to adapt this epic, powerfully immersive story.”
