WWE Raw Rumor Roundup: Identity Of The Gobbledy Gooker, Backstage news, Big plan for Lars Sullivan and more – 23rd November 2020

WWE didn’t feature everyone during Survivor Series, because The Freak was left off the show. Fans haven’t seen the last of Lars Sullivan.

So here we bring the top rumors after emotional ending of WWE Survivor Series 2020. In this week’s WWE Rumor Roundup we have some massive news ahead of WWE RAW episode for tonight.

5) What Happened Backstage At Survivor Series

According to WrestlingNew.co, there was a special moment at Survivor Series involving Vince McMahon and The Undertaker. This was said to be an emotional moment where Vince finally let go of The Undertaker character.

This moment will be filmed and likely used in a future documentary:

The word backstage was that as hard as it was for McMahon to let go of the character, he realized that it’s time to let him hang up the boots. There were some tears shed backstage and cameras were there to film everything so we’ll likely see backstage footage pop up on a future WWE Network documentary.

We can’t wait to see the WWE: 24 on The Undertaker and Survivor Series. It is going to be emotional but amazing.

4) Identity Of The Gobbledy Gooker At Survivor Series

The Gobbledy Gooker returned at the Survivor Series PPV. He ended up winning and then losing the 24/7 Championship.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Drew Gulak was the man inside of the Gooker costume:

The Gobbledy Gooker was portrayed tonight by Drew Gulak. Gulak was my guess since he has been involved in the 24/7 Title picture a lot as of late.

3) The Bella Twins Returning?

On their Youtube channel, The Bella Twins teased a return to WWE. Here is what Brie Bella had to say about a potential return (h/t to Fightful for the quotes below):

“We do really want to make a return. The timeline of it — we don’t know when.

A couple of mistakes I did with Birdie on a couple of my comebacks is Birdie was so little — you’re sleep deprived, you’re trying to train, you’re trying to be a mom, so it can be really hard. I’d like to wait until the boys are like two years old, or something like that. I see us making a comeback in a couple of years, or maybe it’s next year, I don’t know, but it’s not next month!”

Here is what Nikki Bella said about a potential return:

“It would have to be our main focus because even when we came back for Evolution, we were running three companies, we were filming a reality TV show, we had so much on our plate — Brie had Birdie — and we just said the comeback didn’t get its full attention from us that we wanted it to have. So, we’re gonna make sure on that, too.”

We wouldn’t mind seeing The Bellas back in the women’s tag team division. Maybe it could help get some more eyeballs on the division.

2) Contract Details For New Evolve Signings

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has provided some details on what the WWE contracts look like for new Evolve talents who have recently signed.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

We’ve learned about the deals that several of the incoming or recent WWE signings are on. The initial deals are worth $60,000 downside guarantees, with added $500 bonuses with each episode of television that they end up on. We’re told that some of the original short-term agreements jump up to $80,000-$85,000 in January, and the bonuses will increase significantly, possibly even tripling for television appearances.

Several within WWE were happy that WWE had moved to shorter-term agreements to help the company avoid stockpiling and hoarding talent without using them as we’ve seen them do in the past. We are always fascinated to read contract details of WWE Superstars. This number is actually higher than we assumed.

1) WWE’s Plan For Lars Sullivan

Lars Sullivan did not make an appearance at Survivor Series. This has led to fans wondering about his future on Smackdown.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Lars and his future.

Meltzer says that WWE still has big plans in store for Lars on Smackdown. Despite not appearing at Survivor Series, he is still expected to receive a strong push over the next several months. It now makes sense why Lars was kept out of the men’s elimination match. Smackdown got swept and WWE likely did not want to see him take a pinfall loss.
