69 Bn CRPF conducts CAP

Imphal, November 22 2020: Under the aegis of Inspector General of Police, CRPF, M&N Sector, 69 Bn CRPF organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) today at Malom Tulihal Makha Leikai, Terakha Ground, Malom wherein various items related to sports, hygiene and sanitation were distributed.

I Lokendro Singh, DIGP, CRPF, GC, Imphal, also a local resident of Malom, presided the programme as the guest of honour while Second-in-Command, Ujjal Dutta was present on behalf of 69 Bn CRPF.

The items were distributed to Youth Development Club (YDC) and Malom Tulihal Student's Union (MTSU) of Malom, said a statement of Comdt-69 Bn CRPF.

On the occasion I Lokendro Singh, had attributed the role of CRPF towards the Nation and also asserted that CRPF would continue to render its service to the people of Manipur for growth, development and prosperity, the statement said.

He had also assured that more Civic Action Programmes (CAP) in the near future, it said.

Ujjal Dutta also appealed to the participants that hygiene and sanitation items are absolutely necessary to control the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, it said.

Ujjal Dutta also added that the sports items provided today will definitely help the youngsters to hone their sporting skills and hidden talents and latter bring laurels to the country, it said.

It is worthwhile mentioning that 69 Bn CRPF has been consistently organizing CAPs and providing necessary assistance/aids, materials for constructions of toilets & bathrooms; community halls, water storage facilities, medical aids, sports items etc, to the needy clubs/villages to encourage the youths for their participation in sports and other social activities, it said.

The local villagers/sports personnel/members of the clubs of the area appreciated and welcomed the Civic Action Programme conducted by 69 Bn CRPF, the statement continued.
