In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,969 (up 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include INDUSIND BANK (up 6.7%), GAIL (up 3.5%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 3.3%). Other gainers include TECH MAHINDRA (up 3.2%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,470 to 44,271, registering a gain of 3,801 points (up 9.15%).
SAIL net profit declined 734.3% YoY to Rs 27 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.2% to Rs 161.7 billion during the period as against Rs 165.4 billion in January-March 2019.
For the year ended March 2019, SAIL reported 524.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 25.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.9 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 13.6% to Rs 670 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of SAIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.9x.>
