Mysuru: A gang of burglars decamped with cash, office documents and records in a series of thefts at Hampapura village in HD Kote taluk on Saturday night.
The robbers broke into the milk producers’ cooperative society building, gram panchayat office, anganwadi, RO water plant and veterinary hospital building after breaking their locks.
They broke open the almirah in the GP office and decamped with some important files. Villagers are shocked as this theft took place near the local Hampapura police station. The incident came to light when the MPCS secretary came to procure milk from producers early on Sunday morning and noticed the doors of many buildings open and alerted police.
Hampapura police have registered a case.
