Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) RJD leader Tejasvi Prasad Yadav today threatened to launch agitation
against Nitish Kumar government if employment opportunities were not provided to 19 lakhs
youths within one month as per its promise made during just concluded Bihar Assembly
Elections.
Mr Yadav told media persons here that promise of giving employment to 19 lakhs youths
was made by NDA in just concluded Bihar Assembly Elections and his party would launch
agitation if promise was not honoured within one month.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had hijacked the mandate again and despite being his party
stood third in Bihar Assembly in just concluded elections, he became CM, he noted.
RJD leader leader said that 60 big scams came to light in 15 years regime of Nitish Kumar government but those involved in it were given protection under the present dispensation.
Mr Kumar had first made Mewalal Chaudhary, Education Minister of Bihar but facing
troubles due to his involvement in recruitment scam, he was asked to resign within one hour
of assuming the office, he further said adding that Ashok Chaudhary was given additional
charge of Education Department but his entire family was also facing serious corruption
charges.
Mr Yadav said that other ministers in Nitish cabinet were also facing serious charges of
crimes but Chief Minister Mr Kumar was defending them.
When asked about JD(U) leaders levelling charges of corruption against him, he challenged
them to prove any charge of corruption against him during his tenure of Deputy Chief Minister,
he pointed out.
RJD leader said Mr Kumar has been turning the question against others when asked about
corruption charges against his ministerial colleagues.
It was time for Mr Kumar to give direct reply on charges of corruption and crimes against his colleagues in cabinet rather than evading direct reply on the issue, he stressed.
