The foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) are net buyers so far in November 2020, by pumping in whopping Rs49,553cr led by higher inflows in the equities market.
According to NSDL data, FPIs inflow in equity market stood at Rs44,378cr so far this month.
While an inflow of Rs4,362cr was recorded in debt-VRR and Rs813cr in the debt market in November 2020.
In October 2020, FPIs were net buyers with a cumulative investment of Rs22,033cr. However, these investors were net sellers in September, with an outflow of Rs3,419cr due to huge selling in the equity market.
Between October to November this year, the investors' appetite for equities has increased. Sensex has touched an all-time high of 44,230 and Nifty 50 has earmarked over 12,960-level.
So far in 2020, FPIs stand as net buyers with an investment of Rs8,658cr (equity + debt + debt-VRR investments).
In the equity market so far this year, FPIs pumped in Rs92,266cr, while in the debt-VRR inflow of Rs22,725cr has been witnessed, however, there was an outflow of Rs1,06,333cr in the debt market.
