South actor Thavasi passes away due to cancer

Actor Thavasi, who was diagnosed with cancer has passed away while undergoing treatment for the same. Director Saravana Sakthi had brought the plight of Thavasi to Dr Saravanan and he was being treated at a hospital in Madurai. The actor has acted in more than 140 films in supporting character. A number of Kollywood actors including Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, Sivakarthikeyan, Soundararaja, Silambarasan TR had extended financial support to the actor when he was struggling to meet the expenses for his treatment. Rajinikanth also offered financial support to the actor.
