Minister Bhujbal introduces green juice concoction to safeguard against Covid-19 infection

Nahik, Nov 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Food, Civil Supplies and the District Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Saturday introduced the green juice concoction, prepared by city police commissioner Deepak Pandey, to boost the immune system among former corona-infected and new patients as well as senior citizens to avoid Covid-19 infection.
Speaking after inaugurating the post-Covid Management Camp at the Maharashtra Police Academy, he said the green juice solution will be useful in preventing infection due to Covid-19 during a possible second wave of corona in the future.
Mr Bhujbal said that with many experts expressing the possibility of coming of the second wave of coronavirus in the state, which is expected to be five to six times bigger than before, every citizen must take care of himself and his family.
Even if the number of patients increases in the coming period, the administration has made provision of beds, medicines and oxygen, he informed.
"Green juice is pure. So everyone should consume it. Commissioner of police Deepak Pandey has started a ‘Covid centre for the police after he took the charge of office. Now, he has also introduced the green juice with the health of police personnel in mind. This will definitely benefit all the citizens along with the police," said the Guardian Minister.
Divisional commissioner Radhakrishna Game, inspector general of police Pratap Dighavkar, collector Suraj Mandhare, commissioner of police Deepak Pandey, Municipal commissioner Kailas Jadhav, superintendent of police Sachin Patil, chief executive officer Leena Bansod and district surgeon Dr Ratna Ravkhande were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pandey said, "A second wave of corona is expected. Therefore, in addition to keeping the police safe from corona, the green juice has been created to increase the immunity of formerly corona-infected and new patients as well as senior citizens to avoid corona infection. The green juice is useful to reduce the comorbidity in the body, to prevent the spread of corona infection as well as to maintain the balance in the body."
So far 200 patients have been treated at the Covid Center for the police, and not a single patient has succumbed to the disease, he added.
