Warangal Urban: Government Chief Whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar said the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was committed to provide financial assistance to poor to get treatment for their ailments.
Bhaskar was speaking after handing over the cheques worth Rs 22 lakh to 14 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) at an innovative programme called ‘Chettu-Chekku’ (a plant and cheque) by handing over the a sapling along with the CMRF cheque to the beneficiaries at his camp office here on Sunday.
He said that the TRS government had provided financial assistance to lakhs of people under the CMRF and added that it would continue to help the people who are suffering from health problems and are facing financial difficulties.
“Each beneficiary who took the cheque must also strive to protect the environment by planting a sapling handed over here,” he said. Two beneficiaries –Aruna and Shiva-were given a letter of credit (LOC) worth Rs 6 lakh.
Meanwhile, Vinay Bhaskar, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, also inaugurated an ambulance handed over to Hanmakonda Maternity Hospital here. Responding to the call of Minister KT Rama Rao, Vinay Bhaskar donated the ambulance under the ‘Gift a Smile’ programme.
“It gives me great pleasure to provide an ambulance for the hospital. I also thank Minister KT Rama Rao for initiating the ‘Gift a Smile’ programme which received a good response from the public representative,” Vinay Bhaskar said. District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, DMHO K Lalita Devi, Maternity Hospital Superintendent, Corporator Devender, Boda Dinna and hospital staff participated in the programme.
On the other hand, Vinay Bhaskar planted a sapling at his camp office on the occasion of his birthday. “We must appreciate MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar for throwing the ‘Green India Challenge’. Responding to the challenge, I have planted a sapling. And I appeal to the people to accept the challenge and take up the plantation on large scale so that we can protect the environment,” he said, adding, he was throwing the green challenge to Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Telangana State Language and Culture Department, Vemula Satyamurthy, well-known contractor, and Srinivas of the 39th Division Corporator of GWMC.
