AAP workers and leaders to join farmers' stir sans party banner

Chandigarh, Nov 22(UNI) President of Punjab unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and MP from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann on Sunday made an emotional appeal to the workers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to join the farmers' stir in New Delhi against what he called the 'black' agricultural laws enforced by the Union Government even without the party flag.

Mann exhorted the party rank and file to stand up and be counted.

In a statement issued from the party headquarters here today, Mann said that the farmers comprise the backbone of Punjab and without their untiring efforts the State cannot move forward in any sphere. He promised that the AAP would rise above the party affiliations and stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers in their hour of need.

The former stand up comedian also divulged that this is no time to stand and stare or just sit quietly on the sidelines especially when our farmers supported by their womenfolk are braving cold nights and staging road protests, "fighting tooth and nail to save their lands".

"It is indeed tragic that the farming community which feeds the entire nation, is left to fend for itself by the deaf and dumb Union Government besides Captain Amarinder Singh too who has also left the farmers in the lurch and is enjoying kingly pleasures," said Bhagwant Mann.

He also added that the Aam Aadmi Party is already out in the open to voice the concern over the just demands of the farmers and would not be satisfied until the concerns of the farmers are properly addressed.
