Priyanka should be given rein:UP Cong leader

Lucknow, Nov 22 (UNI) A senior Congress leader and spokesperson has demanded that the reign of the party should be handed over to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for fighting strongly against the Narendra Modi government.Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishna, who was also the Lok Sabha candidate from Lucknow against Rajnath Singh, in a tweet on Sunday said,"crore of Congress workers want that Ms Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should lead the party. Under her leadership, Congress will launch a decisive mass struggle against the anti-people government of Narendra Modi."

Earlier too, Mr Krishnam had supported senior party leader Kapil Sibal on his demand for change in the party leadership.

But now, he has directly demanded to make Priyanka as the new president. He said that Priyanka Gandhi will strengthen the party at the grassroot level.

After 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Mr Krishnam had said Rahul Gandhi should not be blamed for the defeat of the party.
