Photos: SE Texas government officials attend Beaumont rally

A crowd of about 100 people showed up in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse in Beaumont Saturday afternoon to attend a rally hosted by the Golden Triangle Republican Women.

The crowd was dressed mostly in support of President Donald Trump and their vehicles were draped in large Trump flags as the flyer on the Golden Triangle Republican Women’s Facebook page suggested to show their support of the President.

Those in attendance of the mostly mask-less event saw a slew of both local, state and federal government representatives that included U.S. Reps. Randy Weber and Brian Babin, Texas State Rep. James White and Tyler County District Attorney Lucas Babin — son of congressman Brian Babin — who all addressed claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election among other things.

Attendees of all ages sat across the street from the steps of the courthouse, where the government representatives were speaking, in lawn chairs with very little space in between them. The members of the Golden Triangle Republican Women sat socially distanced on the courthouse steps with signs denouncing voter fraud — a common theme of the afternoon.

The event lasted a little over two hours and saw a newly naturalized U.S. citizen from Venezuela speak toward the end of the event.
