The social media giant Facebook has revealed hate speech on its platform for the first time. According to the company, between July and September this year, 10 to 11 out of every 10,000 views were hated.

Around 182 million people use Facebook daily. India is its largest market, where the company's methods of dealing with hate speech were recently disputed.

Facebook said in its Community Standards Enforcement Report for the September 2020 quarter, for the first time, it was sharing hate speech information on its platform worldwide. In the third quarter of 2020, there was 0.10 to 0.11 percent hate speech. It can be said that 10 to 11 haters were used to analyze about ten thousand views.

The company said that due to its investment in Artificial Intelligence (artificial intelligence), it has become more involved in removing hate speech and it was removed before the users reported it. During the third quarter, the action was taken against the hatred of around 21.2 million views, 95% of which were accurately identified.

Similarly, the company has taken action against the content related to 6.5 million hate speeches on Instagram. Facebook vice president Guy Rosen said, the company is also updating its Community Standards website to include additional policies.
