Tamil Nadu medical admission: Coimbatore cop says he will bear educational expenses of student from govt school

COIMBATORE: B Sastha Somasekaran, an inspector of police in Coimbatore, has announced that he will bear the educational expenses of a government school student who got a medical seat in a government medical college in Tamil Nadu.
Sastha told TOI that education is must for all poor students and they can eradicate their poverty with the help of education.
"I decided to help fulfil the doctor dream of at least one poor student," said Sastha.
His younger brother, B Sastha Indhusekaran, is working as a sub-inspector of police. The two siblings run a trust to offer education to poor students. They plan to register the trust soon.
"Narikuravar community people are wanderers, and many of them don't bother to provide education to their children. My younger brother and I admitted six kuravar community students in a government school at Kangeyam in Tirupur district with the help some people and revenue department officials. The kuravar community children should not turn into children in conflict with law. My brother is arranging a permanent shelter for the students’ family in Kangeyam," said Sastha.
Sastha said he was planning to buy an ambulance soon with contributions from friends to offer free service to the public.
