Odisha CM launches 11 online services of MSME department

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday virtually dedicated 11 online services of the state MSME department, which are being launched as part of the 5T initiative.
These 11 online services of the department are in addition to the 12 online services already in-vogue while the move also aims to enable the entrepreneurs of the state to avail of various services in a hassle-free manner without approaching various government offices and to improve the ease of doing business ecosystem. These online services will be available at odishamsme.nic.in.
“We are pursuing transformative initiatives through use of appropriate IT solutions to ensure efficiency and transparency in the process. The overall improvement in governance mechanism has made Odisha a top destination for new investments. My Government is committed to create an enabling environment for MSME enterprises and support them to realize their fullest potentiality as it is the real growth engine of our economy,” said Naveen, while launching the online services.
Stating that the pandemic has created a phase of economic recession all around the world, Naveen said the state economy is also facing a tough time and the MSMEs need support of the government at this critical juncture.
The state government will certainly help them to overcome the economic crisis they are passing through. He directed the MSME department to ensure that all eligible entrepreneurs are covered under various schemes implemented by the Government from time to time.
Services which can now be accessed online include issue of export promotion and marketing registration certificate, issue of rate contract certificate, test report, export related assistance, renewal of registration certificate of small and medium enterprises, pre and post-delivery inspection, recommendation for issue of khadi industries certificate, release of rebate claims, supply of materials to the various line department through consortium marketing, issue of no dues certificate and one time settlement by Odisha State Financial Corporation.
