Khattar releases 3 books on Sardar Patel

Chandigarh, Nov 21 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on late Friday evening released three books on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel authored by Justice S N Aggarwal former Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesman said out of the three, two books are on the unification of princely states in India after Independence of the Country titled: SARDAR PATEL THE SUPREME ARCHITECT IN UNIFICATION OF INDIA.
The Spokesman said Volume 1 deals with the formation of States Department by Lord Mountbatten on June 25, 1947, and making Sardar Patel as the Minister Incharge of States Department.
The second Volume deals with adamant attitude of the Nizam of Hyderabad, who was dreaming to have an Independent State.
While the third book on Sardar Patel released by the Chief Minister was titled: ‘HAD SARDAR PATEL BEEN THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER.’

Vini Mahajan reviews preparedness for a possible second wave of COVID 19

Chandigarh, Nov 21 (UNI) To combat fresh surge of Coronavirus infections in the state, Punjab Chief Secretary Ms. Vini Mahajan on Saturday directed the Administrative Secretaries to visit the respective districts assigned to them for monitoring COVID response efforts and to review preparedness in case of a second wave of infections including contact tracing and patient tracking, protocols for referral, strengthening of Level-3 facilities and also ramping up COVID-19 testing across the state.

Ambala, Nov 21 (UNI) The Haryana government has taken stringent measures to press the people for wearing mask to contain the spread of coronavirus in the state. The Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police have been alerted to make the people to comply with the norm of wearing masks to control the Covid. This was disclosed by the State Home Minister Anil Vij while laying the foundation stone of Fire Brigade building at Ambala Cantonment Friday.
