In a bid to stem the spread of Coronavirus cases in the national capital, the Delhi government has asked district officials to visit Covid-19 patients who are under quarantine at their homes and ensure that they follow quarantine rules properly. The order from the government comes in the wake of reports claiming that patients under home isolation are not following the home quaratine rules properly leading to spurt of Coronavirus infection in the city, news agency PTI reported.
A fire broke out at a Covid-19 dedicated hospital in Gwalior today, news agency ANI reported. According to ADM Kishore Kanyal the fire broke out due to a short circuit on the third floor of the hospital. Kanyal further said that nine patients had to be shifted to another floor while two patients suffered burn injuries in the mishap.
Government as well as private hospitals in the national capital have been provided with 411 new ICU beds in the last five days, the Delhi government was quoted as saying by ANI. The addition is also on account of the Delhi government asking the private hospitals to reserve 80 percent of their ICU beds for Coronavirus patients in the city, the government said.
