Five injured in shoot-out in Saran

Chhapra, Nov 20 (UNI) Five people were injured in a Shoot-out by criminals during Araghya (obesiance) being offered to setting Sun on the bank of Daha river at Mubarakpur village under Manjhi police station area on the occasion of Chhath festival in Saran district today.

Police said here that a criminal Nautanki Singh, after a heated altercation with some people on a trivial issue, opened fire on them who had assembled on the bank of Daha river at Mubarakpur village to offer Araghya to setting Sun on the occasion of Chhath festival. Five people sustained serious injuries in the incident who had been sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) for better treatment after being first aid to them at local Hospital, police added.

Police said that a police team had been sent to Patna for recording statement of the injured and lodge FIR in this connection. Raids were being carried out to nab the culprit, police added.

U S Consulate, Asian Confluence launch 1st Academy of Women Entrepreneurs in NE

Kolkata, Nov 20 (UNI) Celebrating the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020, the U. S. Consulate General Kolkata in partnership with Asian Confluence think tank launched the White House-led “Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)” project today through an online event that was live-streamed through U.S. Consulate Kolkata’s Facebook page.
AWE’s maiden launch in India, kicked off by U.S. Consulate Kolkata’s Acting Consul General Monica Shie, brings together 150 women entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners from five northeastern states (Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh), who will be mentored and supported through this two-year-long project.
