BSF shoots drone flying inside Indian Territory in Samba

Jammu, Nov 20 (UNI) A day after security forces successfully foiled the nefarious design of Pakistan by neutralising four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Nagrota, alert BSF troops on Friday evening fired few rounds at a drone, which was seen flying inside the Indian Territory in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said here that a drone was seen flying into the Indian Territory near forward post in Samba Sector, adding, ''the drone had entered around 500 meters inside our territory''.
''Own troops fired 12 to 15 rounds at the flying machine, following which it returned but reportedly it was shot down when it crossed the boundary,'' they added.
Previously also, many such incidents were reported close to the International Border.
Many drones smuggling weapons have been shot down by the BSF troops in Hiranagar and Arnia Sectors.
''Though BSF troops have successfully shot down the arms laden drone on June 20 in Hiranagar sector, but before that and after this incident as well, Pakistani drones were seen flying close to the Indian Territory and probably, they are spying on our activities,'' official sources said.
As per the inputs received, Pakistan is plotting against India through its posts and observation towers along the border.
''After unsuccessful attempts to infiltrate the terrorists on the Indo-Pakistan border by violating the ceasefire more than 2000 times, the neighbour is now initiating a 'drone plot' against India,'' they added.

“Citizens should adhere to guidelines. Masks must be utilised mandatorily, hands washed frequently with soap water and social distancing maintained. People ought to remain vigilant and cautious to protect themselves plus their loved ones,” the senior politician emphasised.
